G18 Steel Grit is a medium-coarse steel grit abrasive used for rust removal, descaling, surface cleaning and coating preparation. It provides a good balance between cutting efficiency and surface profile control, helping remove oxide scale, sand residues and surface impurities while creating a suitable anchor pattern for paint or coating adhesion. G18 steel grit is commonly used for steel plates, welded components, castings, forgings, machinery parts and general steel structure surface preparation.
Steel grit is produced by melting high-quality steel, atomizing it into steel shot, crushing the shot into angular particles, and then screening and heat-treating the material according to required hardness and size.
During production, the steel grit is classified by sieve analysis and inspected for chemical composition, hardness, density and particle size distribution. This helps ensure stable cutting performance and consistent surface roughness during blasting.
G18 steel grit is widely used for general surface preparation of steel plates, welded parts, castings, forgings, machinery parts and steel structures. It is suitable for removing rust, oxide scale, sand residues and surface impurities before painting, powder coating or protective coating.
Packed in steel drums or palletized packaging.

G18 steel grit is a medium-coarse angular abrasive used for surface cleaning, rust removal, descaling and surface preparation before painting or coating. It provides strong cutting action, but the surface profile is more controlled than coarser steel grit sizes such as G12 and G14.
G18 steel grit is commonly used for steel structures, steel plates, castings, machinery parts, welded components and metal surfaces that need effective cleaning and a suitable anchor profile for coating adhesion.
G14 steel grit has a larger particle size and provides stronger cutting power with a deeper surface profile. It is suitable for heavier rust, thick scale and more severe surface contamination.
G18 steel grit is slightly finer than G14. It still provides good cleaning efficiency, but creates a more controlled and moderate surface roughness. It is suitable for general surface preparation where strong cleaning is needed without creating an excessively deep surface profile.
In general, choose G14 for heavier cleaning and deeper roughness. Choose G18 for balanced cleaning performance and better surface profile control.
